I just recived a Hibiscus from a friend in Florida and I live in California and I was looking at it and there was a black bug on it. At first I thought it was an ant, but it was double the size of an ant and it runs fast. It saw me try to smush it and it ran and burrowed itself into the wood of the Hibiscus. It was gross. Should I throw out the plant? Do you have any idea what it maybe? I have never seen anything like it. I am afraid it effected my Plumeria Plant that came shipped in the same package. Please help.

seems that you have a libramon weevil in you hibiscus. it is a very dangerous insect and you should throw out the plant immediatly.
