I would like to buy a good size Hibiscus plant.?

I have a balcony facing south, could I bring this indoors in winter time?

I would like to buy a good size Hibiscus plant.?
in my limited experience, yes, if you have a good window facing south as well. You will have to watch for mealy bugs and spider mites, so keep it well misted. But plan ahead a few years - is your window big enough for a plant that could become 6 ft tall and quite bushy?
Reply:Yes, you can bring it in indoors. It will require warmth without overheating it. Still give it some water during it's winter inside but don't drown it. Once a week is enough. Test the soil with your finger to see how dry it its.

As for it's size. Hibiscus can be cut back very easily or shaped. Do this in spring. No worries. Change the soil every 12 months. You can buy Hib. fertilizer but go easy with it during winter inside. It won't need as much.

It wouldn't hurt to wipe over the leaves either. Get rid of any dust so that it can breath. Try to place it in as much sun as you can while inside.

Depending on where you are. If in a fairly warm climate %26amp; not a severe winter - leave it outside where it is but keep a check on it. If in a very cold %26amp; frosty climate bring it in.

Hib. grow in rock hard soil in Aussie.
