Hardy Hibiscus Seed Pod and Frost?

A hardy hibiscus (not sure of type) has a very large green seed pod. I know you are normally supposed to wait until the seed pod dries on the plant to harvest seeds, but we had a pretty hard frost last night. This hibiscus did have some leaves turn brown, but the seed pod appears undamaged--still a healthy green.

Should I pull the seed pod off and let it dry inside, or should I give it the chance to posssibly grown for another week?

This is related to my other question where I am unable to identify this hibiscus type.
