Go the natural way. Put 1 bulb of garlic and 2-4 very hot peppers into your blender, along with 2 cups water. Puree. Pour into a jar and let sit overnight. The next morning, strain this mixture well. Add 2 more cups of water and mix. Pour into a spray bottle and spray any plant that you want to keep pests off of. This mixture will keep in the refrigerator for one week. Bugs hate the taste of garlic and hot peppers, they will leave your plants alone. You must re-spray plants after a rain. Hope this helps.
I'm sick of mealy bugs on Hibiscus ,i used cedal oil ,others chemicals but of no use any solution?
yes I agree with the rubbing alcohol and Q-tips suggestion. Keep on it diligently for a while. Just soak the Q-tip and touch it to the bug.
another suggestion -- vacation the plant outdoors for the summer. Outdoor predators can do a great job at eating the little buggers.
Reply:Q-tips and isopropyl alcohol, if the infestation is not great. I've also used it in spray bottles, being careful to hit only the mealy bugs.
