My hibiscus seems to have died, leaves fell off now just sticks. Any ideas?

Just leave it . It will grow again. Should have been pruned back in autumn. Mine's the same, forgot to prune...

They can be obtained by letting the stripped bark sit in the sea in order to let the organic material rot away
Reply:Cut down the sticks in fall, it will grow again. I've had mine for 4 years now and it actually grew new colors alongside it. I transplanted those and now I hope to have more. mine went form pink to red and white. Just don't pull them up!
Reply:Would like to help, but you did not indicate hardy hibiscus or tropical hibiscus.

You did not say if it was inside, in a green house, or outside.

You did not say where you live, so do not know the conditions. Big difference from Minnesota and Key West.

This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America.
Reply:Mine did the same thing and I pulled it up. I went to a nursery and they told me that I should have cut it down almost to ground level in the fall. It will come back in late summer. I bought another and did what they said. I hope to see it bloom again this year. Do what I did and hope for the best.
Reply:if it's inside now, but usually outside in summer, it's just hungry for sunlight... keep watering as usual, not too much, and wait.... as soon as full spring hits your area, you'll see buds... by the time they are starting to open to leafs, it will be warmer outside and you can get it some full sun... slowly, please... adjust it over a week or so till so you don't burn those new little leaves..... when you see it recovering, then give it a feed... when hot weather hits, it will be back to normal.....
